The Carolina's are broken into 4 geographic regions that include both NC & SC.


1). The Heartlands/   NC cities/towns include Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Greensboro ,Durham. ,Chapel  Hill, Raleigh ,Cary.  SC includes Columbia & Lexington.
2). The Foothills/   NC cities /towns include Hickory, Chimney Rock, Mt. Airy, Morganton  and in SC  Anderson Clemson Greenville Spartanburg & Gaffney.
3) The Mountain Region/  NC cities/towns include    Asheville  Banner  Elk  Black Mt. Blowing Rock   Boone   Lake Lure  and in SC  Lake Keowee.
The foothills and the mountain regions are well known for there many scenic views including  the Blue Ridge Mountains , Chimney Rock State Park (75 miles long), The Cherokee Foothills Scenic Hwy (130 miles long) and the famous Ashville Zoo.
4).  The Coast/  NC cities/towns include;   Brunswick Islands,  Ocean isle Beach,   Outer Banks  and Wilmington.  In SC  Hilton Head,  Myrtle Beach,  Georgetown,  Pawley's Island, and Charleston and its resort islands.
The Carolina weather:  Moderately cold mild winters .Depending on where you live the avg. snowfall can range from 5" in the heartland regions maybe 1-2 X a yr. but 10-12" in the mountain regions several times a yr. Temps could go in the 60's or 70's but could fall down in the low teens at night. Late winters being in March often produce the biggest snow storms. Spring time temps can range from the 50-70"s as high's and 40-50's at night. Summer temps many days in the high 80's 90's and even over 100. Mild evenings in the 60's or 70's.Great fall weather specially for those  sports minded individuals to catch a game or enjoy a game of golf with the numerous golf courses.
Throughout The Carolina's are a more affordable place to live vs. other parts of the country.
